What causes facial sagging?
The appearance described as facial sagging is not related only to changes at the skin surface. Changes that develop over time in different facial anatomical structures can affect the overall appearance together.

Information about surgical approaches based on assessing the anatomy of the face, neck, eye area and upper face together.
Facial rejuvenation approaches01 / Facial Rejuvenation
Although the face, neck, eye area, brows and forehead are distinct anatomical regions, they form connected transitions in the overall facial appearance. Facial rejuvenation surgery is based on understanding where age-related changes are concentrated and how they relate to neighbouring areas.
Facelift surgery , Deep plane facelift , neck lift surgery , eyelid surgery (in Turkish) and brow lift surgery (in Turkish) are separate surgical approaches addressing different anatomical regions. The surgical plan is developed from facial anatomy, the distribution of changes, general health and examination findings.

03 / Endoscopic Deep Plane
Deep plane describes the anatomical plane addressed in facelift surgery; endoscopic describes visualisation and access. These concepts can come together in a surgical plan explaining the relationships between different facial tissue layers.
The surgical scope may be confined to the midface and lower face, or may be considered in relation to the jawline, neck or upper face; examination findings determine which areas are included.

Assoc. Prof. Mehti Salviz and his assistant Ms İrem took very good care of me from start to finish, as did the nurses at the hospital.
Doç. Dr. Mehti Salviz ve asistanı İrem hanım baştan sona çok güzel ilgilendiler, hastanedeki hemşirelerde öyle.
I wanted upper eyelid blepharoplasty, but Dr Mehti also recommended it for the lower eyelid, and I agreed.
üst göz kapağı blefaroplasti yaptırmak istiyordum, fakat doktor Mehti bey alt göz kapağı içinde tavsiyede bulundu, ben kabul ettim
His assistant called every week to ask how I was doing.
asistanı her hafta nasıl durumda olduğumu arayıp sordu
I thank my doctor; his assistants are very kind too, and the hospital is very nice. I was very pleased.
doktoruma teşekkür ediyorum yardımcılarıda çok kibarlar hastanede çok güzel çok memnun kaldım
Very pleasant and thorough doctor, patient to answer questions in detail.
What has impressed me most is that even after returning home, they have continued to check on my healing and recovery.
From consultation to results, I felt confident and well taken care of.
The Dr. and his staff are responsive to these concerns. … For me the biggest challenge was language barrier in the hospital.
05 / Patient Information
Frequently explored topics and information about the surgical process in facelift, deep plane, neck, eye area and upper facial surgery.

The appearance described as facial sagging is not related only to changes at the skin surface. Changes that develop over time in different facial anatomical structures can affect the overall appearance together.
Deep plane is an approach relating to the anatomical plane in facelift surgery. Its difference from other facelift approaches concerns which anatomical layers are assessed and how they are addressed in surgical planning.

The appearance described as neck sagging cannot be explained only by skin laxity. Changes involving the jawline, neck skin, soft tissues and lower face can affect the overall appearance together.

Although the upper and lower eyelids are parts of the same eye area, their anatomy and relationships with surrounding tissues differ. Surgical assessment and planning are therefore carried out separately for each region.
