05 / SURGICAL FOCUS

Approach to facial rejuvenation surgery

Facial rejuvenation surgery assesses the face, neck, eye area and upper face together with their anatomical relationships. Facelift, neck lift, eyelid and brow surgery address different areas; the scope of each is determined by the individual’s needs.

You can explore these areas and their main distinctions on the Facial Rejuvenation Surgery page. The appropriate approach depends on personal examination and clinical assessment.

06 / ASSESSMENT AND PLANNING

Surgical assessment and planning

Assessment considers both the area that concerns the individual and its relationship to neighbouring structures. The face and neck, or the brow and upper eyelid, may be assessed together. Assessing these areas together does not mean that all of them will undergo surgery.

The surgical plan is based on the individual’s anatomy, existing findings and clinical examination. Age, a single photograph or a standard list of procedures cannot replace this assessment.
